The Alexander City Police Department operates a Traffic Unit comprised of two officers. The efforts of the team focus on addressing traffic-related problems throughout the city, from aggressive driving, to speeding, and City Ordinance violations. One of the ways the Traffic Unit obtains information about problem areas is from concerned citizens in the community. If you have information about a traffic problem in your neighborhood, while you're driving to work or even while dropping off the kids at school, please use our Traffic Report Form to submit information directly to the department.
Please keep in mind that the Captain who oversees the Traffic Unit works Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., therefore if you submit a request on Friday, it may not receive attention until the following Tuesday. To reach Lt. Pike via phone, please call (256)397-1140 . Another option is to contact the Alexander City Department's Communication Center at (256) 397-1023 (24 hours a day) to relay your traffic complaint for immediate follow-up.
