Function of Department
The Revenue/Utilities Department addresses the concerns of the citizen customer in regards to electric, gas, water, sewer and garbage service. We work with customers on concerns regarding the accuracy of meter readings, and help customers who have leaks and other problems. We act as a referral site to energy assistance programs, helping customers keep their utilities turned on. The Utilities Division issues the dump tickets for the city landfill.

Project EASE
Project EASE is a volunteer porgram that helps people having difficulties paying their utility bills. Volunteer contributors have a committment of 12 months before they can make any changes to their status, and allows persons to contribute from $1.00 to $999.00 per month to the Tallapoosa Aid to People (TAP) Program. The TAP Pragram is administered by the local chapter of the American Red Cross. The contribution is collected with the utility bill payment and then dispersed to TAP as the utility customer requested. This is a chance to help your neighbors, so please sign up.
