Mission Statement
The
mission of the Public Works Department is to provide quality
services to the citizens of Alexander City and other City Departments
in a professional, safe, efficient, courteous and cost-effective manner.
Public Works Department is comprised of the Fleet Maintenance Department, Sewer Maintenance Department, Environmental Services Department, Street Department, GIS Department, City Engineering Department and the Property and Building Maintenance Department.
Amanda Thomas is the Public Works Administrative Assistant. She assists the department with phone calls, work orders, dispatching, payroll and the department’s safety program. You may call Amanda if you need help with street patching, limb/debris and street-sweeper routes, inert landfill questions, engineering/GIS or cemetery assistance, general right-of-way issues, missing signs and drainage issues. |
