Lake Martin
Lake Martin's 750 miles of incredible beautiful shoreline, without question, offers something for everyone. Whether it be quietude or recreation, there is no end to the pleasure and satisfaction you will find. Countless enjoyable activities include: boating, skiing, sailing, golfing, fishing, canoeing, swimming and outstanding dining!

Horseshoe Bend National Military Park
The 2,040 acre National Military Park is dedicated to the memory of U.S. Soldiers and Creek Nation Indians who died in the Battle of Horseshoe Bend on March 27, 1814. The visitor center and museum depicts the period of the battle and explains the equipment used by the soldiers and Creek Indians. The park is located between New Site and Dadeville on Highway 49 South.

Wind Creek State Park
Wind Creek State Park, seven miles southeast of Alexander City on Highway 128, spans 1,445 acres of pine and hardwood ridges on the shoreline of beautiful Lake Martin. Wind Creek's fully equipped modern campground contains 642 sites spread over 320 acres.

Charles E. Bailey, Sr. Sportplex
Visitors of the Charles E. Bailey, Sr. Sportplex will enjoy natures wonderful splendor as this 212 acre public park is one of the South's Finest. Nestled in the heart of Central Alabama and on the outskirts of beautiful Lake Martin, this area's beauty and serenity offer a retreat for the soul.

Airport
Alexander City's airport is a general aviation airport named T.C. Russell Field. It is located conveniently off U.S. Highway 280 adjacent to Russell Corporation, the City's largest employer and also adjacent to the Airport Industrial Park. The airport is solely owned and maintained by the City of Alexander City.

Lake Martin Amphitheater
The Amphitheather is formed on a bluff overlooking Lake Martin, just off of Highway 63 near Kowaliga Point by Russell Lands. The site has a stage area and grass seating with a capacity of more than 2,500 patrons. As an open-air site, the Amphitheater overlooks the Big Kowaliga Basin, one of the most beautiful areas on Lake Martin.

Martin Dam
The reservoir the dam created not only became the world's largest body of artificial water in 1926, it represented the ability to produce vast amounts of hydroelectric power. The reservoir has a power storage of 301,700,000 kilowatt-hours, enough to supply 25,000 households for a year.

D.A.R.E. Power Park
D.A.R.E. Power Park is located between Alexander City and Dadeville on Young's Landing. It is the most recent recreation facility to be added in the Lake Martin area. The park features a swimming beach, two large pavilions, 13 picnic tables with grills, two fishing piers and an amphitheater.

Chimney Rock
Chimney Rock is one of the most popular sites on Lake Martin. It is a popular island boating stop where daredevils climb to various points on the lone rock that juts from the island like a chimney - and jump into the lake.

Children's Harbor
The beautiful campus located 15 miles south of Alexander City, Alabama, on Highway 63, is built around a picturesque New England seaside village motif and features the Plymouth Lighthouse and a charming little early American church, Children's Chapel. A replica of the Plymouth Lighthouse which is located on Providence Point at our Lake Martin campus, symbolizes our goal of helping children and families find their way through the treacherous waters in which they sometimes find themselves.

Camp ASCCA
Camp ASCCA-Easter Seals means fun for the 10,000+ visitors who spend time at the facility each year. Campers who have disabilities ranging from Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, Paraplegia, and Quadriplegia to Downs Syndrome, Autism, Mild, Moderate and Profound Mental Disabilities enjoy unique camping experiences at Camp ASCCA.

Homestead Festival
This old-fashioned hometown street festival features hand-crafted products, items of historical interest, activities for children, food, entertainment and fun. Homestead Festival is held in donwtonw Alexander City in April.

Jazz Fest | Photos
For more than a decade, lovers of jazz and blues in search of a music festival need look no farther than Alexander City. The annual free event features two nights of great musical acts and draws crowds from all over th estate and country.

Fourth of July Fireworks
The annual Fourth of July fireworks show is now being viewed from the Lake Martin Amphitheater. Russell Lands has elected to center the celebration around the amphitheatre to reduce risk of injury created by heavy boat traffic around the fireworks.

Oktoberfest | Photos
The annual Oktoberfest is sponsored by the Alexander City Parks and Recreation Department at the Charles E. Bailey, Sr. Sportplex. This annual fall festival brings vendors with unique and traditional gifts, a variety of food, musical entertainment, custom car and truck show and an area especially planned for children.

Holiday Open House
Residents and visitors anxiously await this annual event as local businesses open their doors and showcase the season's most festive decorations and merchandise.

Christmas in the Park
Local businesses and residents participate in the annual Christmas in the Park. You can ride through the Charles E. Bailey, Sr. Sportplex and see unforgettable Christmas displays throughout the park.

Hometown Christmas
The annual Hometonw Christmas parade ushers Santa into Alexander City. A community tree rises from the town's heart in front of the fountain on Broad Street. Business open their doors for an afternoon of holiday fun.
