Heritage Quest combines digital, searchable images of U.S. Federal Census Records with the digitized version of the popular UMI Genealogy and Local History Collection and other valuable content.

The library offers Ancestry.com (library only)

A special collection of local and statewide genealogical material, which includes:

Census records

Marriage records

Cemetery record

Family histories

Tap Roots published by the Genealogical Society of East Alabama, Inc.

Heritage of Alabama series published by Heritage Pub. Consultants

(all counties except three)

Materials in the Genealogy area do not circulate but copies can be made for 25 cents per page.

UNITED STATES VITAL RECORDS INFORMATION: This site provides information on how to obtain vital records from each state, territory, county, etc. of the United States.  There are also links to foreign vital records websites.
